Stroll Sunken Gardens While Living In Temporary Housing

When you are living in temporary housing in the Tampa area there are hundreds of things to see and do.  Pleasant weather all year round means you have greater opportunities to experience the real Florida.  Just a few minutes from Tampa is St. Petersburg and the home to Sunken Gardens.  This is a four acre botanical garden in the center of the city that is maintained by the city and a group of volunteers.  This is St. Petersburg's oldest living museum at about 100 years of age.  The site used to be a busy tourist attraction but fell into hard times as other attractions began drawing tourists.  The city took ownership and has preserved the beauty of it's more than 50,000 tropical plants.   This venue has guided tours and educational programs and tickets are very reasonable.  You can have a wedding or other event there as well.  Stroll the lush landscaped paths and enjoy the warm breezes.  This is the place to come for a peace, quite day outdoors.
