The Tampa Bay area has numerous hospitals that service a
community of more than 4 million residents. Besides an excellent source for
our medical care, the medical facilities contribute to our community as a large
employment resource for thousands of our residents. Tampa General Hospital alone has approximately
6900 employees, is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the area and is one of the
only four burn centers available in Florida.
