Spend some time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church while staying at corporate housing in Tampa

The first Catholic parish on Florida's West Coast was established in 1860 and named St. Louis Parish, in honor of Fr. Luis de Cancer. He was Martyred in Tampa in 1549. In 1905, the new church was constructed and renamed Sacred Heart by the Jesuits who had taken over the parish. The Church is built in the Romanesque style and has 70 stained glass windows. It is a magnificent building and is worth seeing while you are staying in corporate housing in Tampa. Check out the website for directions, mass schedule and all information regarding the church. http://www.sacredheartfla.org/index.html
