This week, why not take a drive out to the old Skyway Bridge Pier ? If you passed it may times traveling north or south, you have surely missed an interesting stop. The cost is just a few dollars and you can spend the day fishing or watching the birds, sting rays, cobia, grouper, kingfish, dolphin or listen the many old timers tell their best fishing story. You never know what you might see....and if the Tarpon are running, it's not unusual to see a 100lb+ " Silver King" leap to the sky. Bring your own chair and fishing gear or there's a bait and tackle shop on the pier. The folks are really nice and they'll be happy to help you with all the fishing tips and tricks.
