Make your plans now to attend the AirFest 2014 at MacDill AFB. On March 22nd and 23rd the biggest airshow in Florida takes place with the gorgeous MacDill Air Force Base the host and location. This event is free to the public and a great opportunity to see The Air Force Thunderbirds in action. When you are staying in MacDill AFB housing you will want to be sure to get in on the fun this March. MacDill AFB is located on the beautiful Tampa Bay; the views are spectacular and weather is the best. Tour the base; climb into multi-million dollar aircraft and learn about the daily life and operations of the base. Bring binoculars and cameras. A folding chair, umbrella, sunglasses and sunscreen would be a good idea, too. There will be a lot of car and foot traffic so be patient; the wait is worth it.
