When you go to Florida and stay in a short term rental this summer be sure to visit Adventure Island Water Park.  When it's hot  you have to get to the water to stay cool.  This amazing water park is the most popular in Florida.  Generally open daily from 9:00 am to 7:00pm there are some days that have later hours.  Check the schedule before you go to be sure, and to find out if there are any special events going on.  You can buy your tickets at the gate or online. Plan to spend at least one day, or get a pass for several.  Exciting water slides or slow rambling streams are always fun.  Ride the rapids,  swim in the lagoon or play volleybal.  There is something for all ages and great food, beverage, boutiques and even great shady picnic areas.  Bring the sunscreen, hats and your flip-flops!

View Fireworks While Living In Corporate Housing This 4th Of July

On the 4th of July there will be plenty of fireworks in the air, but where should you go to see them?  While living in our corporate housing on the 4th try these areas to see the awesome show in the sky:

At the Westfield Brandon Mall the fireworks show starts at 9:00 pm

At Coachman Park in Clearwater the show starts at 9:30 pm

At Channelside there will be a mega-show and it's right on the water.  There will be live music and parking is plenty.  The wharf is the best spot for viewing but space is limited. At 7:00 pm be at the Garrison Street Gate and the first 3500 people will be admitted.

Downtown St. Petersburg will host an all day event with fireworks at 9:00 pm - and on the St. Pete Beach Access Park you can bring a picnic and lawn chairs or blankets and see the show at about 8:30 pm.

See The ARC Gloria While Staying In Short Term Rentals This Week

 From Monday June 30th thru July 3rd if you are living in our short term rentals get over to the dock at the Tampa Convention Center to see the ARC Gloria; the official flagship of the Colombian Navy.  The ship will be docked and visitors can take a self guided tour for free.  The ship was first used in 1966 when the Colombian government authorized the national Navy to acquire a three-masted barque as a training ship.  Be sure to look at the schedule for the convention center and see all of the happenings on tap.

Tampa Theatre A Great Day When Staying In Tampa Short Term Rentals

Dim Sum Available When You Are Living In Short Term Apartment In Tampa

 If you love dim sum there is a great place for this while you are staying in Tampa short term apartments. Enjoy a huge variety of delectable delights as the carts come by again and again.  Dumplings galore, vegetables, steamed goodies and fried tidbits.......all wonderful. 
 There are very few dim sum restaurants in the Tampa area so the Hong Kong House is a stellar find. With a peaceful atmosphere and great prices you will need to be wheeled out of the place on one of those carts.  If you're not sure where to start, taste the pork buns or shrimp shumai.  The fish balls are a favorite and the little spare ribs are amazing.  Get brave and go for a taste of the jellyfish salad or spiced chicken feet.  With more that 50 items to choose from  be adventurous.  Your waiters will be happy to tell you what everything is made of.  You can also order great meals a la carte if you're not into dim sum.

Lowry Park A Must When Living In Short Term Rentals In Tampa

When you travel to Florida this summer and stay in a short term rental, take a day to visit  Lowry Park. You may even decide to return several times during your stay since it is such a wonderful venue.  Lowry is a true Florida park with beautiful outdoor picnic areas and lush landscaped walks and play area. But the real attraction is the zoo. This award winning facility will wow you at every turn. Open from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily admission is about $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids.............and well worth it!  Discounts are available for active duty military and if you are stationed at MacDill AFB you can even purchase tickets there at a greater discount.  This July during the Red, White & Zoo Holiday Weekend, military families will find free admission from July 4-6.  Just be sure to have your ID.  Beautiful animals from all over the world are kept in natural environments and animals specific to Florida will be a treat for all to see.  The Manatee's are wonderful and the Florida panthers are a rarity.  Take plenty of picture to share.

Dali Summer Movie Series On Schedule When You Are In Short Term Rentals This Summer

There is a unique summer movie series showing at the Dali Museum this year.  And, if you are living in short term rentals this month you can see Ghostbusters.  This has been a classic since 1984 when it premiered.  The event is an outdoor showing so you should bring lawn chairs or blankets.  There will be food trucks and beverage carts on property so don't worry about bringing anything.  On June 17th at 7:00 pm is your chance to take a trip back in time. And, be on the look out for the characters from the movie being in the crowd.  Not sure which ones will be there but there will be 'characters'. Oh, and the event if FREE!
