When you travel to Florida this summer and stay in a short term rental, take a day to visit Lowry Park. You may even decide to return several times during your stay since it is such a wonderful venue. Open from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily admission is about $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids.............and well worth it! Discounts are available for active duty military and if you are stationed at MacDill AFB you can even purchase tickets there at a greater discount. This July during the Red, White & Zoo Holiday Weekend, military families will find free admission from July 4-6. Just be sure to have your ID. Beautiful animals from all over the world are kept in natural environments and animals specific to Florida will be a treat for all to see. The Manatee's are wonderful and the Florida panthers are a rarity. Take plenty of picture to share.
