During your Spring visit in temporary housing in Tampa be sure to visit the Lowry Park Zoo. Especially if you have children with you, this wonderful zoo is surely to be their favorite. The zoo is not only the home to a beautiful variety of animals but it is a sanctuary for the injured as well. A great special exhibit now through May 31st is the Sea Lion Splash which provides a great show by these gregarious critters. Watch the show filled with interesting information and watch the antics of the sea lions as they play. On April 18th while you visit be sure to watch the family of Bornean orangutans have an Easter Egg hunt. Or visit the park on April 27th for the annual Day of the Child. Meet Diego and Dora and join in live music and dancing. Maybe you'd rather join the charity golf classic on May 5th; learn about this on the zoo website. And if you are in the military May 26th is military appreciation day when you and your family can enter the zoo for no admission fee. Just be sure to have your government ID with you.
