As you reside in temporary housing in Tampa for the next few weeks, beware the invasion of Gasparilla's Pirates. The invasion begins January 18th in Tampa with the Gasparilla Childrens Festival and Parade. This takes place on Bayshore Blvd and is a family friendly event and is alcohol free. Kids of all ages, even pre-schoolers are included and events are planned that are age appropriate. At 3:00 pm on the 18th point your eyes to the sky as the Gasparilla Air Invasion takes place. At 7:00 pm find your spot and settle in for the greatest Pyra-technic show available anywhere in the country. This is the day that sets the whole celebration in motion.
Then on January 25th comes the biggest event of the season; The annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival that takes place throughout the streets of Hyde Park and Downtown Tampa.
